FAQ

  • How long does a home inspection take?
Depending on the size and age of the house an average inspection can take between 1 ½ and 4 hours.
  • Why should I get a home inspection?
If you are buying a home you need to know as much about the condition of the home as you can. Whether a new or existing home, an inspection can help identify the need for major/minor repairs as well as regular maintenance needed to keep the home in good condition.
  • Should I attend the home inspection?
We strongly recommend that you, the client, accompany the inspector during the last 1/2 hour or so of the inspection. This can be a valuable learning experience for you. During this time you will have the opportunity to ask questions and have them explained to you immediately. This can also afford you the opportunity to become more familiar with your new home!
  • What does a home inspection include?
We will perform a thorough visual inspection including the exterior of the home, the roof, siding, windows, doors, decks, visible foundation, walkways, and driveways. For the inside of the home we will inspect the interior visible foundation and/or crawlspace, electrical panel, visible plumbing pipes, heating and/or air conditioning systems, the structure itself, electrical, attic and visible insulation, and the interior of the home.
